HELP Centre

  • Passes are only available online at this stage.

  • Once you have purchased your pass, it can be collected from Henderson Cycles, Willbike Cycling Central, Unichem Pharmacy Alexandra and Four Square Alexandra upon proof of purchase and presentation of ID.

  • Once you have purchased your season pass you will be sent a tag for your bike or wristband (for runners and walkers) in the mail.

  • The Matangi Station MTB season passes are valid for a full 12 months, from 1 December through to the following 30 November.

  • A priority of the MTB Park this year was to redesign an existing down track to give it more flow and build another up track to help get riders up into the center of Matangi Station MTB via a different challenge, which will hopefully be launched in spring. We will KEEP you all updated !!

  • Please purchase a pass to access the playground just like the MTBers. Bikers have the right of way at all times. Matangi Station is a MTB Park after all.

  • No - there are so many access points to the MTB Park making it impossible for us to install scanners. We work on a trust system - our MOB conducts random pass checks and if you are found to be riding without one, you will be removed from the Park immediately.

  • For health and safety reasons it’s important that we are aware of who is riding on our land. Random pass checks will be carried out by our MOB.

  • Matangi Station MTB is proudly open every day of the year. On occasion we have to close certain trails or areas for stock management or pest control, but we make this information very clear on the website and social media.

  • Yes! At Matangi Station MTB, we have a dedicated parking area - drive about 500m beyond the wooden one lane bridge on Little Valley Road and you will see the carpark. Please use the lower area.

  • At Matangi Station MTB we do not operate a shuttle but we can pop you in touch with companies who do. Flick us a note and we’ll point you in the right direction!

  • We are proudly grass roots riding. There are no lift accessed trails here - you have to earn the turns!

  • We do not have a rental department but there are a number of places in town who offer rentals including Altitude Bikes and Bike it Now (Clyde) .

  • We do not have a bike workshop but our mates at Willbike Cycling Central, Bike it Now (Clyde) and Henderson Cycles & Mowers will help sort you out!

  • Yes, there sure is. It’s near the double gates in the center of the MTB park and is sponsored by our mates at Willbike. We still always recommend you carry a MTB tool with you just in case.

  • Head straight to our website’s home page, and click on trails, here you can checkout our update section that will show any closures. also keep an eye out on socials.

  • Matangi Station MTB is not a resort - we do not have a base building, a cafe or a vending machine. We encourage you to explore Alexandra and gather supplies from local shops and cafes…most trails wind their way back to town. Water dispensers are on site at the Carters Face and at the cattle stop for water bottle refills.

  • Matangi Station MTB is unpatrolled. There are no support services within the park. It is vital you ride within your limits. If you have an accident or witness one that requires emergency attention call the emergency services on 111 immediately.

  • It is patchy in areas. Find higher ground and you’ll be right!!

  • Matangi Station is a working merino sheep station. The core function of the station is to provide wool to the global marketplace. Endangering our sheep by allowing dogs who may carry parasites (cysticercus ovis; taenia ovis) that are detrimental to our stock health is not a sustainable practice.

  • Sorry, all passes are strictly non-refundable and cannot be shared or transferred. If you are travelling to Alexandra from elsewhere, please check your travel insurance. In extenuating circumstances we may be able to help. Reach out to us.

  • We don’t organise any camps per se, but we can help facilitate them for you by putting you in touch with people that can help. It’s best you make contact with us directly - you can check out more information here.

  • Cool - we’d love to help you out. Check out this information to get the down low…
